Jo Clifford
Jo Clifford is one of the UK’s leading dramatists. She is the author of over 100 plays in every dramatic medium, many of which have been performed all over the world. In the US, her LOSING VENICE has been seen in Los Angeles, Aspen and New York; her LUCY’S PLAY in LA; her translation of LIFE IS A DREAM sold out the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and her LIGHT IN THE VILLAGE was performed in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and in Chicago before productions in Australia, Singapore, Manila (in Tagalog) and most recently in Pakistan (in Urdu). She was blocked as a performer for fifty years before writing and performing THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JESUS QUEEN OF HEAVEN in 2009. Since then, she has performed the play all over the UK, in Belgium, Australia and Brazil. It has been translated into many languages and performed in every continent in the world.
