Sarah Michelle Ault

She/They

Sarah Michelle Ault (she/they) is a queer and genderqueer actor and creator with international theatrical experience. Ault’s primary area of expertise is in acting, having earned both a B.A. in Theatre from Butler University and M.F.A. in Acting from Edinburgh Napier University. Since moving to Kalamazoo, she has graced several stages around Southwest Michigan, including performances in QTK’s Let’s Have a Satanic Orgy! and Merry, Queer, and Bright. Behind the scenes, Ault’s theatrical writing and direction spans multiple mediums. Their hour-long script, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” was produced with Butler University as a radio play in 2021. Likewise, she has written and directed several short films, including “Guilty” and “Worth the Rush”, both produced in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, Screen Academy Scotland, and Twin City Pictures. Now, The Lysistrata Project stands as Ault’s longest theatrical script and biggest directorial undertaking – the first to be performed live on stage. Ault would like to thank her cast, crew, creative team, and the dozens of people who have lent their support in bringing this project to life, including her biggest cheerleaders: Mom, Dad, Katie, Emma, Riley, and Cosette. This is for you.
