Jadie Reeves (she/they) is a Chicago-based composer and vocalist whose mission is to cultivate belonging and queer sounds through the creation, performance, and instruction of new music. Recent projects include premieres by Roosevelt University's Contemporary and Wind Ensembles, a piece for SSA chorus with percussion and piano for MSVMA's 2025-26 SSA State Honors Choir, and a commission for the Young New Yorkers' Chorus to be premiered on May 10th this year. Current projects include an electro-acoustic song cycle for voice and Pierrot Ensemble featuring poetry from Elsa Gidlow's On a Grey Thread (1923), and solo works for voice and live electronics, among others. She is pursuing a Master's in Music Composition at Roosevelt University, where she serves as the Program Assistant, and received her B.M. in Composition and Vocal Performance from Western Michigan University along with the designation of Presidential Scholar in Music (2024).
